Rotating Asset / Rotating Item
An item that is stocked in a storeroom but also tracked individually as an asset with its own number and history, because it gets installed, removed, repaired and reused.

At Riverbend Motor M-101 is a rotating item. When it fails it goes to repair, and a spare motor from CENTRAL is installed in its place, each keeping its own history.
