Meter Type: Continuous / Gauge / Characteristic
Continuous meters count upward over time (run hours, km). Gauge meters measure a level that goes up and down (temperature, pressure, vibration). Characteristic meters record a value from a list (oil color: CLEAR, CLOUDY, DARK).
