Items have statuses such as PENDING, ACTIVE, PLANNING, PENDOBS (pending obsolete) and OBSOLETE that control whether they can be ordered or issued.

At Riverbend An old bearing that no longer fits any pump moves to PENDOBS and then OBSOLETE once stock runs out.
