MAS is broken into many smaller services running in containers instead of one large application. This makes updates and scaling more flexible.

At Riverbend Manage, Health and Mobile each run as their own sets of containers.

7.6 was one monolithic application on WebSphere or WebLogic; MAS uses WebSphere Liberty inside containers.
